We had already been the port on Kalymnos three times and it was great to finally get off and see this climbing destination I had been hearing rumors and stories about for over 5 years.  The last tail of Kalymnos Anja and I had heard was at an Southern California Mountaineers Association (SCMA) meeting slideshow.  The woman giving the slideshow expressed how much she had enjoyed here trip here.

We had booked a hotel in Massouri, were the climbers stay and immediately loved it.  Climb crags were everywhere in the hills above town and up coast.  All the shops, restaurants, and hotels loving embraced climbers.  Anja got out the guidebook and started to get excited about where we would climb tomorrow.
