Ok this might sound a little funny but I lost track of two days from China so if you were following my days that this was day 92 but really it was 94 so I’m correcting.
Lower Pisang to Khangsar (9:30 am to 5:20 pm) 8 hours of trekking.
By Ken: This was supposed to be a 5.5 hour day but ended up 8 hours. Luca had told us his favorite spot on the two treks was the side trip to Tilicho Lake, it is the highest lake in the world at 4910 m so we were sold on the journey. We had easy walking to outside Manang and stopped for some yak cheese, cinnamon roll, apple pie and chocolate danish. At about 2 pm we headed up the drainage for Tilicho. Easy travel didn’t last long when we reached a landslide on the trail which was difficult and dangerous that I had to return to take Anja’s pack since her running shoes were not inspiring her on the loose muddy footing. The trail got better and we continued on until we hit a clearing were the trail disappeared. We found one high and left and continued on the faint trail. We continued on this trail for about 40 minutes but it just kept going up and up. the problem we needed to be down and across the river below us. Finally I folded and we back tracked to a creek and descended down where we found a better trail. This trail led us just above the river to the bridge we’d been looking for. 30 minutes of steep up hill climbing and we were at Khangsar and I think we were the only trekkers in town.

Yak Hotel was nice!!. No one was staying there so he said any room you like 100 rupees. They were really nice there and it was our third favorite hotel on the trek. Our bill here was about 1,700 rupees ($25).
